Soziale Landwirtschaft für ältere Menschen
Das Projekt FarmElder soll Landwirten die Möglichkeit bieten, sich in der Sozialen Landwirtschaft aktiv zu werden.
Soziale Landwirtschaft wird von Di Iacovo und O’Connor (2009) definiert als „kurz- oder langfristige Aktivitäten, die landwirtschaftliche Ressourcen wie Tiere und Pflanzen nutzen, um soziale Dienste in ländlichen Gebieten zu fördern und zu schaffen. Beispiele für diese Dienstleistungen sind Rehabilitation, Therapie, geschützte Beschäftigung, lebenslanges Lernen und andere Aktivitäten, die zur sozialen Eingliederung beitragen“. Im Rahmen unserer bisherigen Zusammenarbeit zum Thema Soziale Landwirtschaft haben wir erkannt, wie wichtig es sein kann, die Vorteile der Sozialen Landwirtschaft mit den Bedürfnissen älterer Menschen zu verbinden.
Das Projekt FarmElder soll Landwirten die Möglichkeit bieten, sich in der Sozialen Landwirtschaft aktiv zu werden. Für Landwirte, die bereits in der Sozialen Landwirtschaft tätig sind, wird FarmElder eine Bildungsreihe zur Arbeit mit älteren Menschen anbieten.
